Dry the carpet as soon as you can to avoid warping or additional water marking. Plant fibers are highly absorbent so when exposed to liquids or excessive dampness they are subject to some shrinking and puckering. Do not steam clean or wet shampoo your sisal rug. Many times the stain disappears.

The first and most important rule for cleaning sisal is to never wet shampoo or clean. Dry immediately with a hairdryer or fan. Sisal carpet cleaning is not a standard cleaning procedure. It is important to control the amount of moisture during cleaning.

A fabric protectant may be applied to both types of sisal rugs during the manufacturing process or by the consumer. You will need the following items.

Leave the powder to sit on the rug for about one hour in order to absorb all the dirt. Use a low heat setting on a hair dryer or a large fan to help you get the rug to dry faster. Never steam clean wet shampoo or any other method that involves water saturation on a natural fiber rug. Sprinkle the dry shampoo on the rug and allow it to sit for a couple of hours.

It is recommended that a dry cleaning process be used. Host dry cleaner kit method you can also use the host dry cleaner to spot clean. Begin by sprinkling baking soda or cornflour on top of the rug. Remember that sisal is a very absorbent fiber.

Shake host dry carpet cleaner onto the spill until covered. But regular wear and tear and cleaning can decrease its effectiveness.
